8 years ago, I decided that I wanted my kids to have a Christmas present from me that would be a keepsake. I wanted it to be homemade and something they could keep their whole lives. I decided on making a quilt for each one of them. Quilts are cozy, warm, customizable, and a labor of love. I wanted them to feel me wrapped around them even when they were in their beds alone at night.
I had never made a quilt before so there was a learning curve and I relied on family, friends and the internet to help teach me what I needed to know at every step. I worked on the quilts for months and learned so much during each step of the process. I found a new love!
I’ve made many quilts since then and I’m excited to share some of them with you here. These are my first 4 and while I’ve learned in the last 8 years, I’m so proud of these quilts. They represent so much to me including love, sacrifice, intention, and a new beginning. Even if you’ve never made a quilt before but you’ve wanted to, just try! I promise that you have it in you to make something you are proud of!
